Moto G4 has a power button on right side, followed by volume rockers at bottom there is charging port and comes with a 16 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, 5.5 inch full high definition display which looks vivid and sharp at very low brightness level. It’s very very visible and the pixel density you get is around 401 PPI and display looks nice.
It has a 5 megapixel front facing camera for all selfie lovers. You will get a fingerprint scanner which unlocks the phone in around 750 ms. Battery is not user removable. Phone does have 4G and 3G support. Micro-SD card slot is provided for memory expansion up to 128 GB. The software is running Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box and comes with a very stock android experience. Phone user interface is very fast and the phone is very snappy as it is using the snapdragon 617 which is fairly fast.If you zoom the picture taken from the front facing camera, you can see the noise in the picture and the details are a bit low. But it is not a bad camera. It does produce good quality pictures but when you zoom in and watch the detailing, its not very impressive.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Quick Overview
With a 5.5 inch full high definition display Xiaomi comes with metal body whereas G4 Plus has metallic sides. Both have a 16 megapixel camera with a dual LED flash and a fingerprint scanner at the rear in Xiaomi that comes with a very similar set of specifications. The starting price for the Xiaomi Redmi Note3 is Rs. 10,000 as compared to the starting price of Moto G4 Plus at Rs. 13,500, being essentially Rs. 3500 extra. There is also a higher variant in case of their top models – Xiaomi Redmi Note3 top model is of Rs. 12,000 and having same features in Moto G4 Plus that has a rate of Rs. 15000 for their top model. So that’s the quick comparison and overview which will give you detailed information about both models.
Both have a nice display as both have 5.5 inch full HD screens and have colors and brightness of equal saturation. Moto G4 Plus comes with 6.0 .1 marshmallow. The sharpness and clarity on the Moto G4 plus was better.The pictures taken by the rear camera of the Moto G4 Plus were fairly better than that of the Xiaomi Redmi Note3. This is maybe because of the image optimization and laser focus of Moto G4 Plus.
Moto G4 Plus does offer great hardware combination with the stock android experience. It is one of the nice things but if you want something which is powerful at a budget price then go for Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.
Camera Comparison Between Moto G4 and Xiaomi Note 3
Winner : Moto G4
Both cameras produces good images. Moto G4 boasts on a little warmer images shot with the rear 16 MP camera and are noticeably cooler. Both cameras have an aperture of F2.0 point. There was no noticeable difference in the depth of field. The dynamic range though seems to be little bit better on the Moto G4 Plus. The cameras are almost evenly matched but when it comes to details the G4 had the advantage. Thanks to the advanced camera technology used by Moto G4. Under low light the G4 Plus performance in unmatched and super awesome as compared to Xiaomi Note 3. G4 is by far lacking some basics like grid lines. Optical image stabilization is much better with the Moto G4 Plus. Software processing is also better with the G4 plus. On Moto G4 Plus colors appear more natural and images are wider because of a wider lens used and also there is more detailing in the shots taken with the G4 plus. Even under low lighting conditions Moto G4 Performs extremely well. Camera of Moto G4 is much better as compared to Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. In this camera comparison, camera of Moto G4 is a deal breaker. The colors are looking good but the color is actually more accurate on the Moto G4 plus. Moto G4 plus is a faster device in terms of the overall camera performance compared to Redmi Note 3
Winner : Xiaomi Redmi Note 3
Both the smartphones have 5.5 inch full high definition display panel. In terms of the quality, the build quality is good. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a metal build but the display does not have any protection, despite Moto G4 Plus has a plastic build which is not very superior compared to Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. You definitely need a tempered glass on the top of the display. Moto G4 plus is looking better in terms of colors and it has much more details compared to what you get on the Redmi Note 3. Moto G4 Plus has a regular TFT display as compared to IPS in Redmi Note3. Xiaomi has one extra feature of Sunlight Display hardware which is not present in Moto G4 Plus.

Performance not only depends on processor, RAM also matters. Both the smartphones have 3 GB of RAM. Redmi Note 3 has a Hybrid slot which means you can either use second Sim or Micro SD card. It has ROM of 32 GB. But in case of Moto G4 Plus it has a separate slot for both SIM’s and Micro SD card which help users to expand your ROM upto 128 GB. Both of them can handle demanding apps and games but its Moto G4 Plus which gets warmer quickly as compared to the Redmi Note3.
Considering the performance of the interface, apps, fingerprint senor and connectivity features, the Redmi Note 3 is the clear winner.

While in case of Moto G4 Plus, it has a battery capacity of 3000 mAh which will also last for a whole day, so you don’t have to worry about stopping to recharge. Both have a Turbo charging feature which will give them lightning fast charging capability. But it is clearly seen from the comparison that Xiaomi is slightly better than the Moto in case of battery.
